Our Giving Tree
At Arizona Animal Wellness Center we are committed to making a difference in the lives of animals and their families. Many animals have yet to find their forever home - they are stray or abandoned. Many are lucky to find protection in a rescue organization or shelter. We are committed to making a difference in these pets' lives as well. Our promise to provide the most advanced and compassionate care extends beyond the walls of our hospital and into our community.
In our reception area, you will find a "Giving Tree" that greets our clients and their pets. This "Giving Tree" represents the ideals of Arizona Animal Wellness Center's veterinarians and team. A tree has a strong foundation that can provide shelter, food, strength, protection, and resources for years to come for those who nurture it and respect it. Our "Giving Tree" also has grown with AAWC, beginning as a 10-ft tree at our first location and stretching to 20-ft once moved into our new building in 2015.
Giving Tree Sponsors
Our "Giving Tree" was created from an idea to combine the Giving Tree book by Shel Silverstein and the Christmas Angel Tree from the Salvation Army. We believe our "Giving Tree" can be used to make a difference for pets in need. Located on this tree are "Giving Tree" sponsorship cards. Many of our clients choose one of the names listed on a card and donate towards an organization or animal support group in need such as:
Be Like Josh, Wild Horse Ranch Rescue, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Love Connection Rescue, the Good Sam Wellness Fund, and more. All donations from a "Giving Tree" sponsor are used to offset the costs of care for animals in need of food, shelter, medicine, and surgery.
