Basic and Comprehensive Adult Wellness Plans

The Doctors and Team at Arizona Animal Wellness Center believe wellness examinations and education are the most important components of your pet’s health care. It is through a complete and comprehensive examination and consultation we are able to determine your pet’s health care needs. As pets age, their needs change as well. Some of the most common discoveries during our examinations include periodontal dental disease, skin problems, heart disease, weight issues, and osteoarthritis.

We advocate an examination for every pet at least once yearly and in most instances a twice yearly examination is more appropriate. Pets age faster than people. A dog or cat will age 7-9 years for every 1 year of our lives. At the time of the comprehensive wellness exam, our team will discuss your pet’s health status and recommend a plan tailored to your pet’s health care needs.

Arizona Animal Wellness Center offers the following Basic Adult Wellness Plan for dogs and cats. Each plan includes two wellness examinations performed every 6 months over the course of the year the pet is enrolled as well as unlimited admit and urgent care visits while enrolled in our wellness plan. 

Basic Adult Wellness Plan

  • Cardiovascular Evaluation

  • Pulmonary/Lung Evaluation

  • Otoscopic (ears) Examination

  • Ophthalmic (eyes) Examination

  • Dental Evaluation and Periodontal Disease Score

  • Neurologic Evaluation

  • Abdominal Organ Evaluation

  • Musculoskeletal Evaluation

  • Coat and Skin Evaluation

  • Weight Assessment and Body Score

  • Nutritional Supplement Evaluation

  • Exercise Evaluation

Additional Services for dogs in this plan include:

  • Heartworm, Tick Fever/Lyme Disease Screen

  • Fecal Analysis/Internal Parasite Test

  • Yearly Deworming

  • Pedicure, if needed

  • Vaccination Evaluation including DA2PP, Rabies and Bordetella (every six months)

Additional Services for cats in this plan include:

  • Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus Blood Test

  • Fecal Analysis/Internal Parasite Test

  • Yearly Deworming

  • Pedicure, if needed

  • Vaccination Evaluation including FVRCP, FELV, Rabies

Comprehensive Adult Wellness Plan

Arizona Animal Wellness Center is committed to preventing disease before it becomes a problem for your pet. If we are able to discover disease early your pet has a better chance at recovery and treatment. We accomplish this with our thorough examinations and preventative diagnostic screening tests. A more comprehensive plan for adult dogs and cats is available and includes everything from a Basic plan as well as :

  • Complete Blood Analysis Evaluating Total Health

  • Complete Urinalysis Evaluating Kidney Function

  • Schirmer Tear Test - Screening for - Dry Eye - (Dogs only)

  • EKG with Board Certified Cardiologist - Routine Wellness

  • Vaccination Titer Serology for Distemper and Parvo Viruses (Dogs only)
